Prague is the Czech Republic's capital and largest city, as well as the European Union's 13th largest city and the historical capital of Bohemia. It was home to roughly 1.3 million people and its metropolitan region is expected to have a population of 2.7 million people. It is located on the Vltava River. The city has a temperate oceanic climate, with warm summers and cool winters.

The city was having more than ten major museums and along with numerous theatres galleries and cinemas and other historical exhibits. An extensive modern public transportation system connects to the city. It is home to a wide range of public and private schools which including Charles University in Prague and the oldest university in Central Europe.
 

Prague is famous for its cultural life. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was there and his Prague Symphony and Don Giovanni were first performing in the city. The Ukalicha at the Chalice beer parlour and which is still popular with local residents and tourists alike to provide the setting for the humorously antiauthoritarian activities of Schweich which can immortalized by the novelist Jaroslav Hasek in The Good Soldier Schweich.

Prague has a homogeneous population. There is a small Slovak community and but also overwhelming majority of residents are Czechs. The city having the number of demographic peculiarities stemming mainly from the effects of World War II. There are more women and men in a sizable proportion of the female population are past the age of fertility. The natural rate of population was increase is very small. A tendency towards small families is reflected of both difficulties in housing and increased participation by both parents in the workforce.
